Oakdale Dog Shelter opened the doors May of 2014 as a Volunteer Only shelter. The shelter is completely ran by volunteers and functions on donations and fundraisers that the committee members hold. The shelter is overseen by Mayor Gene Paul. There are Five Committee Members that tend to the daily aspects of the shelter and they are Joelene Hartley, Toni Matheson, Susan Ballard, Heather Williams, and Sandy Strother.

These are the ways you can volunteer your time:

Walking dogs

Playing with dogs

Adoption Events

Fundraising events

Helping with projects around the shelter.

You can get your community service hours through Oakdale Dog Shelter.
